Easter bunny!

Yes, it's been a while yet AGAIN since mommy has updated my blog. But the good news is that I went to see the Easter bunny yesterday. Mommy said she just knew that it wouldn't end well because I didn't care much for Santa last year. She mumbled something about probably being a waste of time and money.

But I'm full of surprises! I sat on his lap like I'd known him my whole life. It was a blast. I even gave them a silly smile for the camera. Check it out for yourself!

Snow!

What a way to start the day! Mommy opened my blinds this morning and showed me the snow. I was so happy to see it that I couldn't stop smiling!

We did have to go out in it because I had a doctor's appointment at 10:00. I got to wear my new snow boots for the first time - which of course I loved!

When we got home from the doctor (I'm fine, by the way. Just a cold.) mommy let me walk from the car to the house. It was really weird at first because the boots and the snow felt so heavy. But I got the hang of it and it was fun.

Fun times at Chuck E. Cheese!

Yesterday mommy and I had a playdate with one of her online friends. Since they live near Baltimore, they decided that Annapolis would be a good halfway point. There is a Chuck E. Cheese there so that's where we went.

Zachary (aka Z) and his mommy, Miss Holly, were really cool. Z is a month older than me, so it was fun to play with someone my age.

Look how happy Z is to be waiting for pizza!

I look pretty excited about it too, even though I won't eat it.

I got to drive Chucky around in his car.

Z and I played some of the games together.

Z and his mommy, Miss Holly

I couldn't reach the pedals, but I didn't care. And don't let my serious face fool you, it was fun!

"Hey Z, I'm beat and ready to head home."

"Come on! The door is this way!"

Ouch!

Thursday evening I was playing on a sofa cushion that was on the floor. According to mom, my face was about 7 inches away from the floor. I somehow managed to fall forward, face first, and busted my head on the hardwood floor. Mommy scooped me up right away and the bruise and bump were already there! I handled it well though and only cried for a little bit.

Spike gets more teeth

I'm up to at least 12 teeth now. I say at least 12 because I'm not keen about letting mom check my mouth. I've been really good about teething too. I try not to fuss too much about it. I just chew on my fingers a lot.

Today's the day that daddy comes home from San Francisco. I haven't seen him for 4 days now. But I'll be in bed when he gets home tonight, so tomorrow evening I will see him! I think mom's been getting a little bored without daddy around, so today she did something with my hair. She got out some of daddy's old hair gel and wet my hair. Can you guess what happened next?

Almost up to date!

Right before Thanksgiving, Mommy and Daddy took me to the mall to see Santa. It was an okay experience, but kind of scary. Santa was awesome, from a distance. But when mommy and I approached him, I got scared and didn't want to let go of mommy. But I tried to be as good as possible because I didn't want him thinking I was a bad boy! It was over pretty fast though!

Next up, it was time for my very first haircut. I sat in mommy's lap the whole time. Daddy has some buzzer sounding thing that he used. I think I look a little unsure here!

It looks like I was being tortured, but I promise that I was not!

I think this is when mommy said I was a good boy and my hair looked great!

Then I had to take off my shirt because it was covered in hair. Look out! Half naked toddler on the loose!

I was really happy about my new hair cut!

My first bite. :( While mommy was meeting with her MOPs group, I was in the Mopette toddler room, when another toddler bit me. It was pretty traumatic for me.

The first weekend of December we went to Aunt Kate and Uncle John's house for the Watts family Christmas. It's a long drive to Aliquippa, so when we got there I just wanted a bath and my bed.

The next night is was time to open presents! Ummm, cousin Jake? Toddler down!

Then Jake redeemed himself by playing football with me

I don't even know who I stole this shoe from (either cousin Jordan or cousin Travis), but I loved wearing it most of the night!

Cousin Travis and his girlfriend Kate.

Travis, Joey, and Jake

Cousin Jordan and his girlfriend Shallen (sp?) wanted to ham it up with me so I let them!

Then it was time to leave. Mommy wanted to get pictures of me with Woody and Joey to use on our Christmas card. I was really tired and cranky, so I refused to smile.

Jake, Woody, Joey, and me!

Aunt Patti, Aunt Kate, and Daddy!

My second Christmas, 2008!
Look at all the stuff!

Mommy came in and told me merry Christmas and took my picture. I was so excited, don't you think?

Forget the giant kitchen right next to me, I ran straight to the Caterpillar truck. Awesome!

But then I checked out the kitchen and decided that I really like it!

Daddy and I sword fighting with the empty wrapping paper rolls.

And the final blog entry to get everything up to date! Mommy took these pictures of me a few days ago. I'm sorry that I was showing the food in my mouth, but mommy wanted to see all the teeth that I'm getting ready to get!

Thanks for reading!

As promised!

Mom is going to pick up where we left off yesterday!

On August 26th, I took my first steps. I wasn't walking full time, but I did take 10 steps across Grammy and Pap's living room! They were so excited that Pap gave me a ride on his lawnmower. I loved it!

Then I took a few more steps in their yard towards Grammy. It looks like buying shoes for me paid off!

The hot and humid days of summer made my hair look like this.

This picture was taken the day I became a full time walker. September 11, 2008 at the age of 13 months and 5 days. I looked pretty excited about it, right?

The weather was so nice, that mom and I went somewhere pretty much every day! Like...

The park

Probably en route to Target

Daddy's work

And Grammy's work (thank heaven we showed up at recess time!)

On September 27th, Grammy's side of the family had a reunion at Hallowing Point Park. There were a lot of people and a lot of food.

Just before I convinced Joey to take a stroll with me on the soccer field

Oh look! A leaf!

Somebody forgot to wake up Woody

There we go, that's more like it!

More shenanigans with Grammy. It's best to just humor them, seriously.

Then in October, we all took a trip to a pumpkin patch. They had a petting zoo where all saw a lot of neat animals.

Like a sheep!

Woody and Joey even got a kiss from a llama

I got to meet and have my picture taken with Elmo. I have to tell you, I had no idea he was really this tall!

Before we left I had to pick a ball, even though mom says they're called pumpkins. Decisions decisions!

This one!

For my second Halloween, I dressed up as a kangaroo.

Trick or treat!

Mommy says that I'm the cutest kangaroo coming and going!

Can you guess why Grammy's arms are in both pictures? Yes, she was trying to keep me still for the camera. Good luck with that!

I guess mommy will finish up with November and December posts tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
