After 4 days of sweet potatoes and no allergic reaction, we moved on to green beans today. Well, sort of. Here I am getting ready to try them.
Then my first bite. I wasn't too sure if I liked them or not. So I opened my mouth for a few more bites. The pictures just don't show my true reaction. You just had to be there.
We tried once more before I gagged on them!
Ewww!!
Oh well. We'll try again tomorrow!

Daddy's birthday
Today is Daddy's birthday! The five of us went to lunch at Red Robin to celebrate. It was so fun! I took a nap in the car on the way there so by the time we got a table, I was as happy as a pig in mud.
But, after a while I wanted out of my carseat. Daddy had finished eating so I sat in his lap the rest of the time. Don't we look great together? Oh, and it wasn't cold in the restaurant, but Daddy said he thought I looked cute with my hood up. I agree.
Look at my brothers Woody and Joey. They really like Red Robin too. Joey is praying that his chicken wings come to the table soon! I kid.
By the time we got home, it was time for me to eat. Mom said that in a few days she's going to give me green beans. I sure hope they're as tasty as these sweet potatoes!

Sweet potatoes are awesome!
Today mommy fed baby food to me for the first time! I tried sweet potatoes and they rock! I can't wait to have more tomorrow. Check me out while I was eating them. I even tried to hold the spoon at one point.

The day after
After the whirlwind yesterday, it was nice to hang out at home and get my naps in, which makes me a much happier baby. I played again today in my new jumperoo. Woody and Joey put this purple bow on my head. I'm okay with purple since it's mommy's favorite color, but I'm not sure it's supposed to be on my head.
Some of the gadgets on my jumperoo confuse me.
But then I got the hang of them!
We had Grammy, Pap, Aunt Linda, and Sarah come over today. Sarah played with me for a little bit. We had fun!
Daddy has a pillow that looks like a snowman. I love that thing! I can't stop talking to him, even though he won't talk back.
Do you see a resemblance?

Weebles wobble
But they do fall down. Tonight I sat unassisted for a little bit. It was less than a minute, but it's a first for me so I want to share it! Look at my face!

My first Christmas!
This Christmas business is alright with me! Not only did I get a Jumperoo from Santa, but I got all kinds of gifts! I got lots of toys and clothes. Mommy said I'm spoiled. I don't know about that, but I wish Christmas was every month!
Here I am in my Jumperoo. My feet don't touch the floor yet, so I have to use a pillow.
After we opened all the gifts, me and Daddy played with this jingle bell rattle that was in my stocking. But better than that, Daddy kept giving me kisses! I love when he kisses me!
We went to Grammy and Pap's house around noon. You're not going to believe this, but I didn't get a nap from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm! Mom said I was wearing 'cranky pants', whatever that means. I don't appear cranky in any of these pictures. Well, except for the last one.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Let's eat out!
This morning I slept until 10:30. What an awesome nights sleep! Anyway, as soon as I woke up, mom fed me, changed me, and put me in the car and off we went! We were headed to a Christmas luncheon with her old office. I wore my 'Santa's helper' outfit, including my Santa hat and elf slippers. I was an angel the whole time. I never fussed at all! I'm certain that Santa will bring me plenty of goodies since I'm being so good!
We left the luncheon and went to finish up some Christmas shopping, when I fell asleep. The next thing I know, we're at Pap & Grammy's house. We hung out there until dinner time and we all went to dinner. I love dining out!

Tickle tickle
The other night Dad wanted to play with me before I took my bath. I decided to go ahead and entertain him. But, I'm thinking the sleeves of my shirt are not meant to look like ponytails!
Then I let him think that I'm ticklish. It does not take much to entertain these people.

Kick off your shoes
Or boots, in this case. Mommy decided to put some boots on me this morning. I wouldn't uncurl my toes for her at first...it was funny. She kept calling me 'monkey toes'. She eventually got them on. But then as soon as she went to snap the picture, I kicked off one of the boots! I seriously don't see myself as a cowboy, so why wear cowboy boots? I mean come on! You can see the displeasure in my face. I wonder how long it'll be before she tries THAT again.

What a week!
Since Monday and Tuesday were so rough, I decided to give mom and dad a break the rest of the week. I went back to my old happy self. Mom has taken a billion pictures of me too (okay, maybe not quite a billion!). You know you can't wait to see them! Here's the rest of my week in review.
This is how I look first thing in the morning. Mom loves to see me so happy!
Here I am showing off my Nike onesie and my monkey toes!
Oh, and for some stupid reason, mom decided to try cereal again. This time she fed me oatmeal. Look at this picture and guess the outcome.
Dad always likes to do silly things with me. It gives mommy a good laugh. Mom calls this one 'towel head'.
Then tonight mom got a picture of me and Joey. Woody is at a birthday party, so he isn't in the picture. :( Ironically, my bib says I love my big brother.
Then to top off the night, I tried to walk. Okay, maybe not yet, but I like to stand! Sometimes my knees buckle though. But hey, practice makes perfect, right?

Mirror mirror on the wall
The last few days have been rough. Mom said I'm super cranky, but we're not sure why. This is how I have looked the last two days (for the most part).
Oh, I did enjoy tummy time today. I just realized there's a mirror on my activity mat and I can see myself! Dang, I'm cute!

You want me to eat WHAT?
So, my doctor said mommy could start feeding me cereal. We gave it a go yesterday, but it was a failure. I have no idea how to eat from a spoon, let alone stomach that rice cereal! As soon as I started gagging on it, mommy said let's try this again in a few weeks! Too bad mommy didn't get a picture of my initial reaction!
