This is how I roll

Yes, I roll! I mastered tummy to back months ago, but now I've mastered back to tummy! I did a little of both today. It started innocently enough with me playing with my feet.

Then I figured forget this, I'm rolling to my tummy!

But then I got tired of that and rolled back on my back again.


Then there was a malfunction. There was a bar in my way!

Umm mom, could I get a little help here?

New seat!

Mom said that I've almost outgrown my infant car seat. I think she just wanted an excuse to shop. But that's okay with me, because I like going to the store! Mom had one picked out before we got there, so it was a quick and easy shopping trip. Grammy even showed up at the store to help mommy. That was a bonus because Grammy bought me a toy while we were there! I recommend that everyone have grandparents! Once we got home, mom took it out of the box and put me in it. Wow, that thing is awesome! It even reclines! I think I look like a king sitting on his throne.

Well, not really. I wanted to mess with mommy this morning and make her think I was going to roll from my back to my tummy for the first time. I got halfway there and stopped. It was fun to play a trick like that on mommy!

Farmer Brown eats prunes

Yesterday started off with mommy dressing me in a John Deere outfit. Yes, that's correct - John Deere. It consisted of a John Deere shirt, John Deere overalls, John Deere denim jacket, and a John Deere hat. This outfit barely fit me. But, I would make a pile of rags look good.




Then for dinner mom gave me prunes for the first time. I'll be honest, they didn't look that great but they were delicious! Look how upset I got when I realized that I had eaten it all!



Then mommy told me that I could have more tomorrow!


Then I wondered how long until tomorrow gets here.

Mmmm breakfast!

This morning mommy gave me breakfast instead of my usual bottle! We gave oatmeal another try, but this time she tricked me. She added applesauce to it and I loved it!

Story time

While Mommy was cooking dinner last night, Daddy took me to my room to so he could read to me. Daddy said that he has some books from when he was little! Now they're for me to use! He wanted to read Peter Pan to me. We read 3 books total and had so much fun. I loved sitting in Daddy's lap while he read his old books to me.

Week in review

Last week Daddy wanted to work on my dance moves. I love standing and dancing (with some help, of course)! Do you think I'll end up being the star in a Saturday Night Fever remake? Mommy says I have the good looks for it.



Snow is so fun to watch. This is what we saw Wednesday morning when we looked out the window. This is my second snow. :)


Since I've been sleeping at night in my crib, mommy finds me in a different position every morning. She said they're going to call me Scooter!


Yesterday, Joey and I were playing on my mat. Look at Joey's face. I'm beginning to think that Joey secretly wants one of these mats!

Updates!

Well this last week has been uneventful but exciting. Friday night, mommy and daddy put me to bed in my crib upstairs for the first time. It was a rough night. There were some tears shed and sleep lost, but mommy said I need to learn to sleep in my own bed without a pacifier and without my swaddle. Even after the rough night, look how happy I was to see mommy and daddy Saturday morning!


Oh, and last week mommy took this picture with her new camera. I wonder what I was so surprised about?

5 Months!

Today I am 5 months old! So Daddy decided to get me a new camera to celebrate. Well, he actually bought a new camera for mommy (an early birthday present he says). So, as soon as we got home from purchasing it she started taking all kinds of photos (you can imagine). Well, I've been quite cranky the last few days because, you see, I'm teething. I'll be honest, it's not pretty. But mommy and daddy have been using this stuff on my gums. I think they call it Orajel, or something. It's pretty awesome!

Back to me being 5 months old today. Mom wanted to take some photos of me, but I wasn't too happy about it. She said that was fine with her and we'll take what we can get - whatever THAT means???


I tried to tell her "No more photos!!" but she took this one anyway.

P.S. I had carrots today. They are so good!!!

Happy New Year!

Welcome, 2008! Daddy, Mommy, and me slept right through the change of the new year. But that was okay with all three of us! This morning mommy used her program she calls Photo Booth to take our picture together. I didn't smile because I'm way too cool for that.



Then we headed on over to Grammy and Pap's for lunch. We also had ice cream cake for Daddy's birthday! We had a lot of fun today (even though mommy insisted on trying green beans again - yuck)!
