Happy New Year!

Wow, it's been a really long time (I think around 6 months) since my mom has added anything to my blog. Isn't that crazy? Well, you can imagine a LOT has happened during those 6 months and I've changed so much. Mom has promised to keep my blog up to date for 2009. And as an added bonus, we've changed the design of my blog to Elmo! I love Elmo, so I think it's perfect!

Here's a brief rundown. Okay, maybe not brief, but mom said she'll try to sum it up as easily as possible!

My first 4th of July was spent in Rock Hall, Md. That's where my Aunt Patti lives. We had a cookout, I saw fireworks on the water, and I saw a parade! Here are a few pictures from that weekend.







The festivities wore me out!


The following weekend I went on my very first vacation! We went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and stayed in a cabin. It was a very long car ride to get there, mom says 10 hours, and I loved it. I was such a good boy the whole week!

We spent one day at the Nascar Speedpark and I fell asleep in my stroller. Hey, a kid has to nap somewhere and it was kind of hot that day.


Woody and Joey drove a lot of funny looking race cars. Go carts is what I think they're called!



Apparently it amused everyone that I slept through so much noise at the speed park.


On another day we went to the Ripley's Aquarium in a town called Gatlinburg. That was a lot of fun!




My first time eating at Sonic. Something really interesting was going on and I didn't have time to look cute for the camera, sorry!

That night, the whole family went to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner. I had never been there and didn't know what to expect. There was so much going on that I was in awe! I actually got to ride in a car with Chuck E. Cheese!

And my first taste of pizza. I ate a whole slice and I LOVED it!


Next up - my birthday party at home on August 9th.

I ate cake and it was so good!







Then we all went out to the big bath tub. I'm still not sure what to think of it, especially when Daddy put these ridiculous glasses on me. He's so silly. He's my Dad so I humor him.

Putting them on top of my head is not working for me either

After all the guests left, I got to take a ride around the yard in my new wagon from Aunt Linda.


And before bed that night, I got to take a spin or two around the living room in my new car from Woody and Joey.


When I'm around Grammy and Pap, you never know what is going to happen! Mommy and I went to dinner with them to Ruby Tuesday on August 24th. Baby + boredom + napkin = cheap entertainment for the older folks!

Adventures in the giant tub

Mommy and Daddy said it's called a pool, but it's like a giant tub to me. I got in it for the first time Saturday. There are a lot of pictures, so you can click this link to see them all. Here's one to get you started!

Fingerpainting!

Mommy said that I should make something for Daddy for Father's Day. So, I created a masterpiece by using fingerpaints. Mom said it wasn't easy, but I thought it was! She said I just wanted to play with the paper and crawl around on the sheet. We were pressed for time since Daddy was on his way home. We painted, mom got me in the bath, and then cleaned up the evidence all before Daddy walked through the door, whew!

My future's so bright

I gotta wear shades! Every night while I'm in the tub, Daddy does my hair a funny way. Last night mommy decided to top off the look with my new sunglasses. Here is the outcome. Oh! And you can see my new tooth!

Wow, where are my updates?!

Mom is really slacking now. This is unacceptable and I must discuss this with her right away.

A quick rundown of what has been going on with me!

*I started pulling up to stand around May 15th (mommy can't remember the exact date booooo!)
*I started waving hi and bye bye on May 16th
*I made my first trip to the beach (Ocean City) May 18th. I slept in a hotel and did great!
*My first tooth came through on June 1st (finally!)
*I'm almost 100% off of baby food now! I LOVE eating!
*I turned 10 months old on Friday, June 6th
*Yesterday I drank from a straw for the first time

I think that's the main things for now. Mom has taken so many pictures since our last update that it's just too hard to pick a few to post here. Hopefully she'll get back to updating regularly so this won't happen again!

Guess who is crawling now?!

Me!! I started crawling on Friday (4/25). It's a lot of fun too - except when I see something really interesting, like a power cord, and mommy sternly says "No" and she shakes her head. Other than that, I'm loving it!

Mom's really been bad about updating my blog, but I'm hoping she'll have the time to add some pictures this week!

Due for an update!

Wow, it's been two weeks since anything has been added to my blog. Sorry about that!

Mommy and Daddy have been concerned about me spitting up (still!) and about my weight. So Mommy took me to see my doctor. I've gained less than two ounces in two months! Oh my gosh! I'm so skinny. So, Mommy got instructions on what I should be eating and how much. I feel like a newborn again because I'm basically being fed every two hours again. But I'm going to bulk up and look hawt this summer. *wink*

On Wednesday I fell face down on my bedroom floor (I was sitting up trying to reach a toy). Mommy thought that I would get a bloody nose from it, but I got a bruised left cheek instead! It really hurt at first. I cried so hard. But, Daddy said I'm officially a boy now. See my bruise?



And about this crawling business - I'm almost there. I get into this position and then can't figure out what to do with my right leg! Mom said it looks like some sort of yoga pose.
